Independent Environmental Consulting was formed in 2012 by Joshua Handler with the goal of providing quality, common-sense-approach Environmental Consulting services to the Southern California region. IEC is based in Orange County California and employs certified professionals for a variety of consulting services, specifically focused on Hazardous material testing and project management.

IEC strives to provide strategic solutions in an often heavily regulated environmental industry. We work with property owners; residential, commercial and industrial, and help navigate our clients through the regulatory fun house that is California.

Our job sites range from residences, both single-family and multi-family, to universities, hotels and military installations and our clients include Private parties, Insurance providers, Contractors, Public agencies and Real Estate professionals.

With almost 25 years of consulting experience, IEC maintains a boutique-style business model, which often translates into more direct communications, more economical solutions and faster turn around times.
